To strengthen the networking of researchers working on Africa in various disciplines in the humanities and social sciences, literature and philosophy, environmental sciences and economics.
These meetings are an invitation to cross disciplinary and institutional boundaries. They provide an opportunity for specialists from different disciplines in the humanities and social sciences to discuss common research themes, comparing approaches, historical periods and geographical areas of the continent. By bringing together researchers from a variety of backgrounds, the REAFs provide an opportunity to raise the profile of their work.
