Old water mill

The old mill of Saint Dalmas le Selvage is visible from the car park of the same name, at the end of the village.

They used the power of the torrent (the one that flows down from Sestriere and was offset at the time) to turn their millstones and grind the grain.
You will see on the side of the building, now converted into a dwelling, the old stone wheel used to crush the grain.
