Ashes of the Arabian’s Pearl – Valentin Valette

24 photographs will be presented during this exhibition where the documentary perspective is combined with an ethnographic approach, and results in a striking dive into the landscapes and social trajectories of the Sultanate of Oman, a territory in full political and economic change. Valentin Valette immortalized the shift in the Sultanate of Oman, and the transition period between the rules of Sultan Qābūs and his cousin Haitham Bin Tarik. A work as much artistic as journalistic for this documentary where the categories of populations express themselves and make us discover the lifestyles of the working class of the Sultanate of Oman.
