Cantates à Saint-Paul

Concert

02 February 2025

Initiated in 2024 by Charlotte Marck, harpsichord professor at the CRR in Nice, who is its artistic director, the Cantates à Saint Paul cycle allowed the discovery of vocal works from the German baroque repertoire rarely performed in our latitudes!

Taking up the atmosphere of the "Abend Musik" developed by Dietrich Buxtehude in the church of Sainte-Marie in Lübeck in the 17th century, these "Concerts spirituelles" offer vocal works (cantatas or motets), instrumental as well as organ pieces, if possible in relation to the liturgical time of the moment.

For these concerts, Charlotte Marck is surrounded by friends and colleagues from Nice and the surrounding area, specialized in the interpretation of early music and motivated by this beautiful project bringing together the association "Accrorgue" and the ensemble "Les Ondes".
