Romanticism, sounds and words Works by Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Schumann, Brahms, Sand...

Françoise Chaffiaud is a French pianist with an exceptional career. She entered the Toulouse Conservatory at the age of 9 and won the prize at 11 before joining Yvonne Lefébure's class at the C.N.S.M. in Paris, where she distinguished herself by playing works by Beethoven and Debussy. Lefébure, a disciple of Maurice Ravel, taught her the finesse of French composition and the mastery of nuances on the piano. At 16, she received the piano prize from the C.N.S.M. in Paris and several other diplomas, then continuing her studies in London and Rome. She has had an international career, playing in Europe, the United States, China and Japan, and has collaborated with renowned conductors and artists such as Philippe Bender, Montserrat Caballé, and Claude Bolling. She has participated in world premieres by contemporary composers and recorded works by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert, and French music.

Chaffiaud divides her time between teaching and concerts. She was a professor at a Parisian conservatory and at the C.R.R. in Nice. Passionate about the science of the piano, she developed a masterclass concept called "The Soul at Your Fingertips" that she teaches internationally.

Frédéric Rey, a dramatic artist, will complete Françoise Chaffiaud's recital with readings of correspondence and writings by composers of the Romantic era.
