Dowdelin, Voilaaa Sound Systm, Dimitri from Panisse

Concert

23 November 2024

Get ready for an evening of musical fusion, between Caribbean rhythms, Afro-disco and festive groove, to dance and celebrate without borders!

DOWDELIN
Dowdelin is a band that transcends geographical and musical boundaries, combining Creole language, Caribbean rhythms, urban energies, and sensual electro. Their second album, "Lanmou Lanmou", blurs the distinctions between genres such as reggae, zouk, jazz and biguine, challenging conservatives and defenders of traditional musical styles. Dowdelin is located in a unique space where European and African influences from the Caribbean mingle, creating a Creole Afro-futurism that escapes any precise classification on the official musical planisphere.

VOILAAA SOUND SYSTEM is a collective that mixes DJs, MCs and live FX, inspired by the traditions of London's Notting Hill Festival. This group, originally from Lyon, offers energetic and immersive Afro-disco sets, evoking the 1970s in Lagos or Abidjan.

The collective is made up of several talented DJs, including Freakistan, Boolimix, Chylorama and James Stewart, as well as dynamic MCs like Pat Kalla. Their music, released under the Favorite Recordings label, pays tribute to the best years of disco and creates a festive and groovy atmosphere during their performances.

DIMITRI FROM PANISSE
Dimitri From PanisseA long-standing figure in the alternative scene in Nice, from the Diables Bleus to the Fête de la Santa Capelina on May 1st, through the organization of parties, concerts, street meals and various but always festive and popular events, Dimitri From Panisse has always worn several hats (he even has a beret) and has constantly been keen to mix genres, audiences, styles, tribes, and above all not to confine himself to a single chapel, whatever it may be.

And his credo as a DJ is the same: mixing styles (cumbia, soul, afrobeat, disco, tropical, electro, etc.) and diverse audiences, but always focusing on the sense of celebration, groove, dance, fun and sharing, with the same open-mindedness in music as in life, 360° and in stereo, from Lagos to Rio via Memphis, Kingston, Kinshasa and of course the port of Nice, his home port! Turn up the Sound! or Manda le son!, whatever the language, for him the message is invariably the same: dance and have fun with friends in a good spirit and on a good groove!
