Joseph Conrad, when maritime adventure rhymes with literary adventure. Meeting with Yvan Gastaut

Indefinable, cosmopolitan, Jozéf Teodor Konrad Korzeniowski, who became Joseph Conrad (1857-1924), belongs to this category of writers who left their mark as citizens of the world. Conrad acquired this planetary dimension in maritime adventures that marked the first part of his adult life. His story is also French since it was from the port of Marseille that he embarked as a cabin boy on a sailboat before becoming a captain for twenty years and embarking on a story of this life of adventure, with the success that we know.
