Gargantua
Theatre
From 16 to 20 December 2025
At the end of this year, Hervé Van der Meulen invites the actors of the TNN Troupe for a delightful gargantuan epic.
The voraciousness and irreverence that characterize Rabelais's writings, his encyclopedic, almost excessive, desire to tackle every subject, every theme, every form of knowledge, all contribute to a voracious, even gluttonous, search for a better world where everything would be done to find a fertile ground for humankind's thirst for joy, harmony, pleasure... for its thirst for curiosity, knowledge, culture, philosophy, and humanism. Rabelais's work combats one of the most serious human maladies: melancholy.
With Étienne Bianco, Élise Clary, Amélie Kierszenbaum, Armand Pitot, Laurent Prévot, Lîla Sanchez, Hervé Van der Meulen, and Carla Ventre
