Jazz & divas – Caroline Gsell quintet

Caroline Gsell and her musicians aim to make you vibrate to the greatest standards of female jazz that have made the history of American jazz, and to immerse you in their universe through the telling of unusual little stories.

Caroline Gsell won the First Prize for singing at the age of 12 from the R.T.B.F in Brussels. Later, while studying graphic arts, she sang alongside Dieudonné Kabongo and Philippe Lafontaine, in Belgium. Returning from the United States, she participated in numerous recordings and created the jazz group the Caroline Gsell Quartet.

She performed as the opening act for Khaled and Césaria Evora at the Céret Festival in 1997, then at the Théâtre antique d'Orange, les Docks in Marseille, les Nuits du Sud in Vence. His journey and his research through Jazz, Soul and Gospel, allow him to express all his sensitivity thanks to his warm and generous voice. Founder of the Nice Gospel Soul group. In 2008, she joined the Monte Carlo Jazz Big Band when it was created. In 2013 she was invited by the Nice Jazz Orchestra alongside Marc Thomas.
