A virtuoso musician, pianist Jean-Pierre Como has left his mark on the jazz scene since he co-founded the group SIXUN, which has just been awarded the Sacem Grand Prix du Jazz.
A major figure, he has played alongside a multitude of great names: Michael Brecher, Didier Lockwood, Sylvain Luc, Stefano di Battista, Jean-Luc Ponty, André Ceccarelli, Paco Sery, Paolo Fresu, Aldo Romano, Hugh Coltman, Anna Ducros... and asserted himself very early as a leader, with a discography of fourteen albums, in which his talents as a pianist and composer flourish, from the trio to the septet, including a creation with symphonic orchestra "L'Âme Soeur".
Recognized for the finesse of his pianistic touch and endowed with a recognizable sound signature, Jean-Pierre Como has been able to mix his classical and jazz bases with a romantic perception of music. In total symbiosis with his instrument, he is one of those rare musicians capable of sharing and transmitting their passion to the public, thus drawing listeners into his imagination.
Jean-Pierre Como offers music that is constantly in motion, dense and luminous, which transcends the boundaries between genres, taking a playful pleasure in never being quite where we expect it to be.
