L’océan vivant

Exhibition

From 01 April to 30 September 2025

Discover the exhibition "L'Océan Vivant" in Paris and Nice: 83 sublime photos by Greg Lecoeur and Olivier Anrigo explore the beauty and biodiversity of the world's marine life.

The exhibition "L'Océan Vivant" jointly supported by Laurent Loiseau, exhibition curator, the city of Nice and the Métropole was selected in February 2024 to be shown on the Grilles du Sénat (Jardin du Luxembourg) in Paris.

This project honors 2 great nature photographers from Nice, Greg Lecoeur and Olivier Anrigo, through 83 photographs whose rights have been acquired by the City of Nice and the Métropole.

The exhibition offers a planetary ocean exploration at a balanced pace between marine, underwater, terrestrial and aerial images, between landscapes, animals, flora and populations, the actors of the sea who draw their livelihood from the sea and are directly affected by the effects of global warming.

The beauty of the images is the common thread of a plot that leads from one pole to the other, with a particular focus on the Mediterranean, which concentrates a quarter of the world's marine fauna on 1% of the ocean surface.

Its exceptional biodiversity is the subject of all the attention not only of photographers, but also of local authorities who are partners in the actions carried out within the framework of the Pelagos sanctuary.
