Le dernier amant de Marguerite Duras
Theatre
20 March 2025
It is 1983, at Roches Noires, in Trouville.
For three years, young Yann has been living with Marguerite Duras, three years that he has invested himself with her and wondered about the role he plays, aware that the primary link remains writing.
And while Duras returns to her youth in Indochina, Yann, torn between delight and rebellion, types under dictation what will become a worldwide success.
Made of the devotion of an admirer for a sacred monster, of the seduction of an aging writer for an ambiguous being, this love escapes them.
Alternately dominant and dominated, each becomes the plaything of a fatality, like those ancient tragedies where two beings that are complete opposites, seek in vain an impossible harmony.
