Les auteurs au Jardin

Conference

17 May 2025

Authors in the Garden‘, 9th edition of the book fair and ’Museum Night".

Open to all (free admission)

Book signing, round table discussions, painting performance, discovery workshop and conference.

With the support of the Cap d'Ail Town Hall and bookseller Nathalie Iris from ‘Mots en marge’, Villa les Camélias is organising a book fair.

Sophie de Baere, Valentin Musso and Laurence Tardieu will be among the 25 authors signing their books.

It's an opportunity for children and adults to buy recent editions, get one-off signings and attend round-table discussions moderated by radio commentator Bernard Lehut.

To kick off this literary afternoon, Cécile Miraglio, author and illustrator of ‘Les petits Zécolos’, will be running a workshop on the theme of wasps for children.

From 2 to 3.30pm, children will be able to study this fascinating insect, discovering its life cycle, diet and predators, and even handle an inert specimen. (Registration required)
This date also coincides with the national ‘Night of the Museums’ event. To mark the occasion and as the high point of the season, Villa Les Camélias is organising a special lecture entitled ‘Astronomy and Etymology’ from 6.30 to 7.30 pm, open to all.

Sitting together in the dawning evening, we'll explore the Cap d'Ail sky in a different light, thanks to Rémi Collin, author of ‘Balades célestes’, published by Delachaux et Niestlé.
