Les impressionnistes et la fête
Conference
03 April 2025
Here come the fine days, the mild evenings, the desirable shade. Guinguettes, lunches on the grass, concerts under the golden vaults of the halls or the foliage of the Tuileries, balls, theater: society amuses itself under the gaze of the painters.
The railway and the electricity fairy multiply the possibilities of escape for the wealthy as well as for the most modest.
In this unique conference by Fabrice Roy, we will set off on the paths of celebration with Manet, Renoir, Monet, Krøyer, Béraud, Toulouse-Lautrec, Degas, Cassatt, and so many others. We will experience a real immersion in this universe of light and colors, vibrating to the sound of these voices now extinguished but so current and present in our hearts… »

A communications teacher at the University of Nice Sophia Antipolis, he is developing a series of conferences on the theme of the history of art and French life in the 19th century.
