Les Seins de Lola

Lola, a broke woman in her fifties, decides to have cosmetic surgery to get a breast augmentation. Her son, Stéphane, and her ex-husband, Julien, try to dissuade her, while she receives only token support from her daughter-in-law, Caroline. Meanwhile, Stéphane's friend, Jérôme, is completely smitten with Lola.

For some of us, the lure of cosmetic surgery is like a form of submission: "be beautiful and shut up," "you have to suffer to be beautiful," "a culture of beauty," self-emancipation, or simply the well-being of one's body.

For Maria Pacôme, through her character Lola, who is both funny and sensitive, resorting to cosmetic surgery might be a way of defying aging.
