The performance has just ended, and the troupe, a family of actors, returns to their dressing rooms, or rather, what serves as a dressing room, perhaps the back room of a function room where tables have been set up. The show was not as successful as they had hoped, and the audience seemed unenthusiastic. That evening, the troupe is to celebrate the engagement between Joséphine, the eldest daughter of the clan, and Raban, a temporary worker. Cohabitation on tour isn't always easy, and this joyful little ceremony quickly turns into a settling of scores...
