Twelve-year-old Rapunzel lives with her mother on the 128th floor of a disused tower. Her long hair grows constantly, in step with the emotions that run through her. Rapunzel has never left her tower. Her mother can't stand the outside world.

She works from home, has their groceries delivered downstairs, and Rapunzel carries them up with her hair.

Their lives are well-ordered. Each day ends with a cuddle from the mother in her daughter's hair: it's her only source of comfort. The days go by and are all the same, until the day another child gets their drone stuck in Rapunzel's hair. This accident is the first door opening to the outside world, a door she will have a hard time closing...

There have been many adaptations of Tangled, from the Brothers Grimm to Disney Studios. The Le Grand Large company wanted to take on this theme in order to give this tale the imprint of our times. Tangled also deals with psychological and physical confinement, the opening to the outside world that isn't always possible, and the search for emancipation and liberation that doesn't come without facing one's fears of the world, of others, and of oneself.

Directed by: Deniz Türkmen. Starring: Sophie de Guérines, Daphné Lanne, Benjamin Migneco.
