Ancien Hôtel Régina

The Régina is a historic hotel nestled on the hill of Cimiez which was part of the heyday of Nice tourism between the late 19th century and the 1930s.

The hotel, designed by the architect Sébastien-Marcel Biasini, welcomed Queen Victoria from its inauguration in 1897. The sovereign had a private entrance and the entire western rotunda, recognizable by its dome topped by a crown. Iron is very present in the main facade (canopy and winter garden of the hall, oriels, consoles of the balconies ...). A footbridge joins the garden separated from the building by a street lined with stores and service entrances.
