Created in 1883, the Nice nautical club was an important place of sociability for the foreign community and the local notables.
The current headquarters was built in 1949 by the architects Marcel and Georges Dalmas. The facades are partly made of irregularly cut stones to recall the walls of the old gunpowder magazine previously present on this rocky spur.
