Église Russe Sainte-Alexandra

The first Russian parish church built in Western Europe (1859), its plans are the work of the imperial court architect Koudinoff.

Due to the Sardinian state's directives imposing discretion on non-Catholic churches, it has no bell tower and the place of worship, located on the upper floor, is not visible from the entrance door. It was in this church that the funeral of Grand Duke Nicholas Alexandrovich, the eldest son of the Russian Emperor Alexander II, who died in Nice, took place.
