Intérieur de l'église Saint Jean-Baptiste

Saint John the Baptist church

It dates back to the 11th century. The building was considerably modified around the 19th century, with extensions including the addition of the presbytery in 1846. From 1992 onwards, major works gradually gave the church its current appearance.

It is said that the local population dug caves beneath the church's foundations to provide shelter from invaders.
Inside, you can admire several representations (painting, sculpture and stained glass) of Saint Jean-Baptiste, the town's patron, who is celebrated every year on June 24. This is the highlight of the Saint-Jean festivities, village traditions for decades..
The cannons on the church square bear witness to the military past.
