In "On ne nait pas féministe, on le devient", Marie-Christine Barrault pays a moving tribute to the famous lawyer.
Part of the "Festival Trajectoires".
In a subtle staging, Léna Paugam adapts for the stage the book of interviews between Gisèle Halimi and journalist Annick Cojean, "Une farouche liberté". Seventy years of struggle and commitment to justice and the cause of women are recounted. In a tale of two voices, where youth and maturity meet, the many faces of Gisèle Halimi emerge: rebellious politician, committed lawyer, lover of freedom, young girl, mother, grandmother... as her memories unfold, a sensitive portrait of a woman whose words and battles still resonate.
