In 1939, the architect René Livieri created a large complex whose monotony was broken by a tree-lined courtyard opening onto the boulevard.

This "building-square" process, characteristic of Nice buildings of the 1930s, avoids the presence of courtyards in the center of blocks, which are often dark.
