Inspired by Botticelli's map of Hell illustrating a manuscript of Dante's Divine Comedy, Bernard Alain Brux offers here, with its inverted conical spiral representing the 9 circles of hell, a very contemporary interpretation.
The 1,250 characters that make up the spiral come from the daily press, each one bearing our news like so many witnesses to the world's chaos.
Like the damned encountered by Dante on his journey through hell, are we not all caught in this infernal trap of the media world, which, by hammering home fake news and narrowing information like a funnel, alienates minds and crushes consciences?
