La Crypte Archéologique

Discovered during archaeological excavations for the construction of tramway line 1, the crypt provides an insight into the history of the town and its fortifications.

At 2000m², Nice's archaeological crypt is second only to that of the Louvre in Paris. It presents four distinct states of fortification in Nice and the evolution of military architecture over time.
