Mon frère chasse les dinosaures

My Brother Hunts Dinosaurs is the story of a boy who, for twelve years, sought to love others.

When Giacomo was 5 years old, his parents announced the birth of a "special" little brother, one he hoped would be endowed with superpowers. When Giovanni was born, it became clear that he didn't look like a "normal" baby. One day, Giacomo realized that his little brother lived on a planet that was the planet of Down syndrome. Everything then became more complicated. Despite his many efforts, his understanding of good and evil, and a loving and caring environment, Giacomo was unable to accept his little brother, Giovanni, who was a source of shame for him. For fear of what other children would think of him, when he started middle school, Giacomo began lying and did everything he could to hide his little brother's existence.

Giacomo Mazzariol wrote this autobiographical novel in 2018 when he was only 19 years old. In 2019, it was adapted for film by Stefano Cipani and has been translated into over twenty languages. This is the first time that My Brother Hunts Dinosaurs (Éd. Slatkine et Cie) has been adapted for the stage.
