Moulin à grain

Moulin de la Bollène Vésubie.

The old water-powered grain mill stands opposite the village square. Grain mills are used to grind grains, such as wheat, corn, or other cereals, into flour or semolina. The mill now runs on electricity, using millstones to crush the grain. It was used primarily by the village's farmers and livestock breeders to produce flour, which was then used to make bread, pasta, pastries, and other food products. Any unused grain was given to the farm animals.
