Théâtre : Together

It immerses the viewer in the intimacy of a family during a period of confinement. Emmanuelle Bercot and Thomas Blanchard form a couple at the end of their tether who find themselves confined together during the pandemic.
She and He can no longer stand each other, their life together is only for their son, Alfred. The animosity is palpable, the horrors are rife and the public is taken to task. Humor mixes with drama and laughter with tears.

"How can we express our individuality when we find ourselves obliged to constantly live with each other, to share the same space? She and He are no different from us: they loved each other, they had a child together, but confinement highlighted their fundamental differences. They tear each other apart, because they realize that the only bond - the foundation - of their love rests on their son: She and He are human, monstrously human, and this confinement. pushes us to question the violence that they have repressed, the hatred that lies dormant within them, but which had not, until now, found favorable ground to fully blossom. Together is a tragicomedy about the couple: humor plays a central role. The performers involve the audience in the creative process. This clever triangulation gives Dennis Kelly's work a “stand-up” effect.
